This is the first of your games that I think I've played! It's certainly short, but it didn't need to be any longer. The forest background is so pretty! The purple shadows fit the mood very well.
Based on how your afterword suggests that a happy interpretation is intended, I'm guessing that the black dog might be a spirit form of Mila, or came on Mila's behalf, to protect Hans and steer him out of the forest before nighttime. A nice day that he can carry with him, as long as he doesn't think about it too hard? It's sad seeing him just standing there talking to himself once the illusion is revealed... But I'm sure I'm still missing something!

Ooh, you're actually super close with that interpretation! That's pretty much on the spot! I initially left it a bit open, but I don't mind confirming this part of the story at this point. Since it's so short, a lot of the setting ended up unexplained, but maybe I could bring something back from this game someday...!
For a short game, this is really splendid!!! The amount of detail put into the environments is like, incredible. All that really intricate pixel work.... But also, the story itself is nice and wholesome, maybe. The ending has me thinking........... things.......... and overall, it's very well-executed!!!!!!
What a nice short game. I love the art and maps, there's a lot of atmosphere to each of them. I can tell you put a lot of effort into it! The story is quite nice and the ending seems very mysterious!
I did encounter a small bug, I interacted with the locked closet at the right side and then after I obtained the photo the game froze ^^; I did complete the game through to the end.
